The ancient people of the Near-East passed on the stories we know read through generations by word of mouth. The Bible we know today actually comes from a rich oral tradition. This can be an excellent way to keep the verses fresh in your mind and connect more with the word of God. You can put it on while cooking, driving to work, or before you go to bed. The same can be true during in-person Bible study groups, where a pastor reads scripture while the group follows along.Īudio Bible study can also be a great way to listen to scripture whenever you want. Not everyone learns by reading, and sometimes having audio in addition to reading along can help your brain remember the lessons much easier. Why Audio Bible Study?Īudio Bible study verse by verse can be wholly beneficial when it comes to reading scripture, and it can actually help you learn the word of God much more efficiently. Whatever the reason, audio Bible study is one method that everyone should know about. However, when it comes to studying the Bible, not everyone may have the opportunity to attend group lessons in their local churches or they may want to study at home alongside in-person church groups. Your women’s group can tackle book studies like Exodus, Habakkuk, Mark, or James, or focus on topics issues like Basic Christianity, the Spiritual Disciplines, Working Faithfully, or for those difficult times in our spiritual walk, you can study the Bible’s Words of Comfort. When you gather, you can then use Groudwork’s helpful episode guides to spark your conversation and get you thinking about how the topics resonate with and apply to your life. Whatever the case, Groundwork would like to offer you free resources to make the most of the time you have to gather with the women in your life. Or maybe you’re looking to start a women’s group: like a support group made up of Christian women from work or an early morning gathering of fellow retirees from your neighborhood. Maybe you have a similar group of women in your life: an ongoing, women’s Bible study at a nearby church or an occasional mother-child playdate you host at your home. For me, this group of women was a lifeline. ![]() But we also studied Scripture, shared our struggles, needs, and desires, and supported one another in prayer. Whenever we were together, we definitely talked.a lot. ![]() These five women from my church were an invaluable support system to me at a time when I was raising three young children, working full-time, and often feeling too busy to attend to my own spiritual well being.
